What we collect
When you request a route coverage report, we collect the details you submit: your email address, your route, travel mode, and any optional information you include (start date, trip length, message). We also record standard technical information with the request, such as your approximate country and city (derived from your connection) and your browser's user-agent string.
Separately, we record anonymous usage events (for example, that a visitor clicked "Check my route" for a given route). These events contain no name, email or other personal identifiers.
How we use it
We use your email only to send the coverage report you requested and to notify you when purchasing opens for your route. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or add you to marketing lists. Anonymous usage events are used to understand which routes travelers care about.
Where it's stored
Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers and D1). Report requests containing your email are write-only from the website: no public endpoint can read them back.
Cookies
TrailSim does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics scripts.
Your rights
To access or delete the data associated with your email address, contact support@trailsim.com and we will handle it promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Material changes affecting how we use your email will be announced to affected users by email.
